This workshop takes place in an open air, outdoor setting at the Allie Sunshine Project Healing Garden located at 252 West Pike Creek Road in Lakeshore, Ontario. The first half will be a class-sytle discussion where we will be talking about herb spirals as a nature-inspired garden element, followed by a physical, hands-on component where we will be building one from start to finish.*

Participants will:

-Learn about natural patterns in the garden, space maximization, microclimates, specific growing requirements of common and some lesser-known herbs, and how curves/circles can lend surprise and whimsy to a garden – and be more efficient too!

-Work together to build and plant an herb spiral using rocks, soil, and mulch pathways for accessibility.
